If you missed this morning's yoga at dizzying heights from the Sky Garden Yoga event, fear not, we have rounded up the best of exciting fitness and nutrition events happening in London this month. Whatever your budget or location, there are plenty of events (rooftop and outdoor) to extend the joys of summer and ease you into the office life.
Saturday, September 3rd
This is bound to be one of the hottest tickets, so hurry and book yours for the upcoming weekend's Yoga and Brunch event at the beautiful Ham Yard Hotel's rooftop garden. Hosted by the premium fitness & lifestyle leader that is Equinox, the sunrise yoga brunch sessions are a series of events, so if you miss this one, be sure to check further dates.
Tuesday, September 6th
There might not be a rooftop in site for this one, but for those preferring an outdoor cardio session to yoga, the twilight Thames run is a must for the calendar. As one of London’s fastest growing corporate challenge events, Run the River will take you on a beautiful scenic path, with both 5k and 10k routes available, additionally, all the proceeds will be going to Teach First - a children’s education charity. An evening well spent indeed.
Wednesday, September 7th
Probably one of our favourite days to come this month! With activities taking place across the UK, including many free events and taster classes, and abundance of gyms participating in the scheme, you are surely going to find something exciting in your neighbourhood - just enter your post code in the link below.
Friday, September 9th
A week from this Friday is an exciting one with the Well Scene's 'Sit-ups in the Sky' pop-up at a secret rooftop in Paddington. As usual, the exact location is yet to be revealed, however if the name and the previous experiences are anything to go by, it's sure to be a good one. (After all, are there any better 'F" words than Friday, Fitness and Food?)
If you are located further West and would like to throw a film viewing in the mix as well, then be sure to check out Sweat and Cinema's pop-up in Fulham with a pilates session led by the award winning instructor Hollie Grant, followed by treats from London's top health eats, a movie and a goodie bag to take home.
Sunday, September 11th
Another pop-up which, despite its recent launch has already earned the approval from Tattler and London's top fitties, is Planet Manna's mini festival of rooftop fitness, food and music. The last yoga session was hosted by the lovely Cat Meffan, and the upcoming event is set to take place near Battersea Park, with vinyasa yoga, capoeira and parkour thrown in the mix. Did we mentioned there will also be a BBQ, apparel and beauty brands? Make sure to book now.
Saturday, September 17th
If you you follow any London-based health and fitness-inspired accounts on Instagram, then your feed is surely to be peppered with a myriad of colourful vegan creations from this gorgeous place. A favourite of the fashion and fitness crowds, the Farmacy restaurant also hosts pop workout sessions. If you have yet to visit and enjoy a meal, why not also combine it with a yoga session beforehand? This one is free!
Sunday September 18th (with additional dates as part of the course to follow)
One of our favourite locations in London - Grace Belgravia, is a stunning and sophisticated members-only women's health and fitness club, that boasts world-class nutritionists, beauticians and personal trainers. It is also an excellent place for events, talks and discussions, often hosted by experts from fashion, art and health industries. September brings yet another such event, or rather a series of workshops to transform your wellbeing. Acclaimed nutritional therapist Jeannette Hyde will conduct a series of guided sessions centered around the all-important intestinal health. Tickets are also available to non-members.
Wednesday, September 21st
The 21st of this month is bound to keep you busy both, morning and night.
If you are partial to stunning views (and don't suffer from vertigo), book your ticket for the much-coveted sunrise yoga session hosted in the walkway of the Tower Bridge - as unique of an experience as it gets! If you can't make it, not to worry, these sessions take place monthly.
Skeptical of the 'chia-matcha-avocado-cocoa-nibs power ball' diet? Critical of the alarming number of Instagram experts promising the all-elusive glow? Healthy eating is indeed not all that straight-forward and has become something of a minefield, sparking more than one national debate. Founded by nutritionist Rosie Saunt and Helen West, the Rooted Project aims to shed light and separate the nutritional fact from the fiction. The evening of the 21st brings us the first panel discussion in the series of upcoming events hosted by the Project. We have our tickets booked already!
Sunday, September 25th
If you have missed the mini festival in Battersea on the 11th, book your ticket for another very fulfilling Sunday of fitness, music, beauty and food.
